Climate adaptation and resilience report launch
8 September 2026
Houses of Parliament
On September 8th in Parliament, the Environment APPG will be hosting an event to mark the launch of the report: “Is the UK prepared? Resilience in floods, fires and food as climate impacts rise".
The climate adaptation and resilience report is the result of an in-depth inquiry that has heard evidence from impacted communities, health experts, infrastructure providers, farmers, and others. The recent data indicating that 2,700 people in England and Wales died during the May and June heatwaves underscores the urgent need for greater ambition in this area. The launch will hear speeches from senior politicians, followed by a panel discussing the report’s findings.
