Kickstarting local economies drop in - meet the local circular pioneers
For Circular Economy Week 2025, the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the Environment is holding a Kickstarting local economies - meet the local circular pioneers drop-in event in Parliament.
This event will be an opportunity for MPs and peers to meet small businesses and community groups who are seizing the opportunities of using resources and materials more sustainably. The government has set out strong ambitions on this agenda, recognising that by shifting to an economy where waste and harmful materials are designed out and repair, reuse, remanufacturing and high-quality recycling are the norm, we can create new jobs
and build community resilience.
With a Circular Economy Strategy in development for the autumn this is a crucial moment to
set a long-term path to sustainable growth. Small businesses, local communities and councils must be central to this if the government is to build inclusive growth across the country.
If you are interested in attending this event, please RSVP to appg@green-alliance.org.uk for further details. This event is open to parliamentary and associate members.
